I saw on FB that Steve Harvey posted a photo of his new closet, courtesy of The Container Store.

On his FB page, he is taking flak from people who are outraged at the "excess" and perceived "flaunting" of his large wardrobe when so many people have recently lost everything but the clothes on their back.
What do you think?

I wonder if he turns his hangers the opposite way after he wears each item so he can keep track of what he's worn, LOL.
It's his money. He can spend it however he wants.

While ITA with @gidgetgh, that looks quite excessive. He is inviting the haters by posting that pic.
Is it not enough for him to just enjoy his closet without sharing it's contents? I see this as yet another example of Oversharing.

Steve Harvey was living in his car at one point years ago. So he is a "rags" to riches story via hard work.
He most likely got a deal from Container Store for promoting it. You could say at any point, not just after a hurricane, that flaunting wealth and excess is not appropriate-so in that case it would never be. It's all subjective, what's called flaunting and how people view that.

I think it is totally ridiculous. I was under the impression that these TV program hosts receive a free wardrobe, afterall, who else could wear their clothes. I say he has more clothes than he needs, however, he should not feel quilty because he has them and people just lost everything in Harvey and Irma. Hopefully, he donated generously. Afterall, with anything, money, clothes, you can't take it with you. ![]()

That hurricane has nothing to do with his wardrobe or anything else he does! If he loves buying clothes then it's his choice. So what.

Funny, my first thought wasn't of flaunting or being insensitive.
Instead it was "I'm so glad I am a female".
We have so many more choices

I think Container Store is probably cringing.
And if it IS their product, it looks like a weekend DIY project.
With their famously beautiful walnut 'elfa' brand of
closet organization of shelves, racks, tray, shoe storage,
this looks like the men's department at JC Penney.
Just a couple of poles & a bunch of hangers.
Definitely not representing The Container Store in the best light.

If he has an excessive amount of clothes maybe we should blame his wife. Many times on his shows he has given her total credit for his style. When he met her he did not dress to impress and she set him straight in short order. I think she did a great job .
Also he is very generous with his money when helping strangers. He also gets others to donate their money. He has and does work hard for his money. IMO as long as it is legal he can do what he wants with it.

It looks like the dry cleaners!
If this was meant to promote The Container Store, it appears to be a poor representation.
