Does this bother anyone else?

It looks cheap to me, even though I like some of his things.

There must have been a run on hot pink neck seam binding!

Why else would he do this?!

I am putting in my request that his neck seam bindings match the color of the garments!!!

It doesn't bother me at all on items I own. Are you speaking about a specific item?

It doesn't bother me.   He is not the only designer that does it.

It is his trademark.  Doesn't bother me at all.  I think this is a common practice among designers to have some sort of unique identifier of their brand.

Most of his Q items.

It did just dawn on me, however, that it probably is to distinguish his Q things from his NY things. I had heard him mention his NY line several times, but didn't realize you could get these fashions on-line. Lots of really nice things!

But it still does look cheap to me.

It depends on the item and the color.  On some of his pieces I think it looks terrible!  it reminds me of the bright red lining that Dooney uses for a majority of their bags...looks great on some colors but awful on others.

I don't know if they still do it, but I have a bunch of Coldwater Creek shirts with contrast binding.
