AM Style chat 2/13

[ Edited ]

Good morning ladies! Guess we're back to the old time, 8 am ET for AMS but I popped in just in case. Had a good week here, found myself yesterday running errands in the lightest of snows... kind of fun for this SoCal girl!

How's everyone's week? Thinking of you @house cat hope you can join us for a hug.

Oh gee, didn't think to check. Gardening... and it's 20 something here, not really in the mood.

Listening to Philosophy Talk on the radio, it's a cool npr show. Talking about free market vs. socialism. Won't share content so as not to start flames! Smiley Wink

@jackthebear

I believe the little kitty has gone back to the down duvet and electric blanket.

Good morning everyone.  Not a good week for me - received a diagnosis of breast cancer.  Saw a round of doctors regarding chemo and surgery.  Everything moves at a hurry up and wait pace.  Any advice for this very claustrophobic woman to get thru a breast MRI next week would be appreciated.

I'm sitting up in bed w/the space heater going. Buster's on my pillow, and the other three are curled up - I keep a big cat bed on the other side and they pile in there when it's cold.

@gmkb So sorry - hugs to you. Have several friends who've been through and going through it. Re the MRI - They are more open than they used to be. I've had a couple and they're nervewracking but technicians are sensitive about people's feelings about it.

Do you have family to take you, stay with you during?

Maybe you can phone to facility before hand to ask what to expect, how long it takes, etc. Then there's always xanax. Don't mean to be glib, but it's something to consider, a low dose to relax.

@gmkb

I'm sorry to hear the news. Cat Sad

My aunt is a BC survivor (for 29 years so far...) so it is something near and dear to my heart.

Can the RX doctor give you a Valium?

I have had a few MRIs but what gets to me is the noise (like a jackhammer).  Depending on where you go, they can give you headphones and pipe in music.
