People on a message board will tell you to do things they never would do themselves. If you put away the jacket 5 years ago, what has changed since then that makes you want to wear it? And if you have any doubts, won't you feel uncomfortable? At 71, I aim for elegance. But maybe give it a try and see how you feel wearing it..

It would depend on how "biker" it is.  Post a picture of it - you don't have to be wearing it.

While this is my personal opinion, anything would look better than a puffer coat.

@Shanus I agree with others, if you like how you look in it then go ahead and wear it.

I have a couple nice leather jackets, not really a moto style but cool looking IMO.......I also wear a sueded fringe jacket at times @Citrine1 as I do like to revisit my hippie days,

my adult kids think it's great!   But I do not wear or own cowboy boots (LOL)

@LindaSal   Yay and good for you!  And you probably look great in it because you have the confidence to wear it.

Ok, maybe i'll take a look at some websites and see what's out there in that regard (suede and fringe).  Just looking, mind you! Woman LOL

All my life people have said they wish they could wear the things I wore. My theory is if you like it and it feels “like you “ put it on and enjoy. There are many clothing styles that are not me even if someone else thinks it looks good on me. Another thought I have is that at my age who really care but me anyway!

IMO, it goes beyond whether or not it "feels" like you.

A big part of this is how it's accessorized.  What is it worn with?  You can take the most beautiful, expensive leather jacket and wear it with skin tight leopard print leggings .... and it just won't work.

Well, correction, it wouldn't work for most women.

I know that both leather and moto styles are trending big time. But unless we see a picture of you sporting this moto jacket, I feel it is difficult to give a thumbs up or down. I am sure we are all aware that two women can put on the same outfit. One will slay it and the other, well, not so much.

Your height, weight, age and how you carry yourself, all play into whether or not you can rock this style.

For me, I know I would not feel "me" dressed like a biker chick. God knows I have changed my "style" over the decades, but today I want to present myself in a more organic manner, never looking as if I am trying too hard.

Some magazine used to have a "Who Wore It Best" feature every month and it was always interesting to see how women accessorized a garment.

Anyone know if it's still around?

I have a quite expensive real leather biker type jacket in black (of course). I put it away about 5 yrs. ago thinking I was too old to pull it off. Now I'm thinking, "what the heck" and it never gets "winter enough" for my puffer coats.

Anyone in their 70's still wear a black leather "Sandy in GREASE" jacket?

@Shanus

I also have an assortment of THESE:

So....your moto jacket is going to be great!     di
