Re: 4 Items that helped you stay warm at home this winter?

It's 36 here right now in Manhattan. Where is it 2 degrees?

I've kept warm with hot drinks from my Keurig, a soft fleecy cape thing from HSN, fleecy slippers and a trusty heating system!

We keep a pot of boiling water with tangerine rinds and spices to keep the humidity up. Good for my complection and the antiques. I wear fleece ""big shirts"" in a smaller size so they fit closer. I don't need drapey when I'm cold! LOL! I use the fur throw from Dennis when I curl up to read. Of course my 85 pound pit loves that throw! Love cranberry candles too!

Ugg slippers, flannel sheets, a down comforter and plane tickets to go back to the beach as soon as I get all of my tax stuff together for my accountant!

Only one for me, but it took a couple of years to take the leap. For my birthday I treated myself to a pink L L Bean full length fleece robe. So warm I have to untie it when I have my coffee. Love, love, love.

I have the 'heat holders' socks also! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I gave my dd a pair and she said,'NOW I know what you were so obsessive about!'.

My much loved fleece robe.

Tea from TeaSource.

AND my absolute favorite item (other than the socks Smiley Wink is my heated blankets. I have a heated throw for the couch and a heated blanket for the bed! I also have a heated mattress pad but this only gets used when the temps are just brutal. We keep our house at 68. I LOVE my electric blankets. They keep me toasty warm in the real frigid temps!

I love the DuraFlame portable heater that I bought, keeps our kitchen nice and warm. Also a few fleece 1/4 zip tops from Lands End. So comfy and warm. They wash up great. My fleece polar fleece sheets from Malden Mills. Own three sets. An then there is our dog Bentley, he is great to cuddle with.

ECBG: Actually, good idea! If we don't have cats, we can make a potpourri in a crock pot, simmering our favorite natural scents! Keep it in whatever room we are in.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I keep the heat on 68. It's really not that cold where I live (in Nashville).
