Re: 4 Items that helped you stay warm at home this winter?

I have a Sunbeam heated throw that I love. I highly recommend it! I got it at Kohl's. We have a radiant heater that really helps. I wear warm clothes, too. It is usually a turtleneck and fleece quarter zip top, jeans, rag socks, and crocs.

Fleece, fleece, fleece. And wearing a knit hat. Also, sitting under a goose-neck floor lamp with 40 watt incandescent bulb. Keeps me warm. Also have one for my cat, who loves sleeping under it. Because they are floor lamps, the bulb isn't too close or too hot for us.

Re: 4 Items that helped you stay warm at home this winter?

My down comforter was awfully nice the night that my heat went out. I was able to get it fixed the next day, but I spent one cold night at home! Also, my wonderfully warm faux sheepskin throw from Pottery Barn.

Well, for fashion, these are my top picks:

1) L.L. Bean fleece lined robe (I have two of these and two from Land's End in the rotation)

2) L.L. Bean feather fleece jammies

3) Haflinger wool slippers (in two colors)

4) newly discovered Acorn fleece socks

For me, it is 1) winter window installation (plastic stuff and under door draft blockers), 2) portable heater in each room 3) robe and socks. I learned from QVC to have the portable heaters so you can warm up where you are AT instead of raising your heater temp. to warm the entire HOUSE.

I love hooded fleece robes! I have two. One leopard and the other cream.
