I have an app available that I would like to try but I am somewhat afraid of it. It is called ad blocker. has anyone used this - supposed to block ads and pop ups. I have ad blocker for FB and I know it does block some content I actually may enjoy reading but it is worth that to not get all those ads. Anyway, my friend used the ad blocker and said it took out her eagle nest cam so she had to uninstall it.

happy housewife, You didn’t mention which browser you’re using. All browsers offer extensions/add-ons, and normally in the instructions they tell you if you run into a problem on a site there’s no reason to completely uninstall it. All you have to do is temporarily disable the extension (usually just takes a couple of key clicks) and then enable it (just as easily) later when you want to.
I use a variety of extensions/add-ons, but these are the ad blockers I have right now:
In Firefox:
AdBlock Edge
AdBlock Plus
Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon
In Chrome:
AdBlock
Adblock Plus
In Safari:
AdBlock
