When I visit one site only, I constantly have trouble and it says Silverlight needs updated.  Should I update it?  I'm always leery when only one site says it.  It is a legit message board.

Thanks!

Re: Windows 8/Silverlight???

I'm still using my old computer that has Windows 7 and I keep getting the same message you do.  I don't click on it as I don't know what it is. I get the message when I visit more than just one site.  I hope someone can enlighten us.                    docsgril

Re: Windows 8/Silverlight???

Hopefully we'll get an answer.  That site messes up a lot too and closes IE and then restarts the page.

Silverlight is a plug-in and functions largely like Adobe's Flash. If you update it directly from Microsoft you shouldn't have any issues.

This, exactly. If the site is causing problems for you, you should update. Silverlight is a Microsoft product and will be safe if you download from their site.

I would also see it as part of my Windows Update with my PC. I would check on it to allow it, and allow it to install the update. It never caused any problems for me. Cat Happy
