Which Router for the latest HP TSV?

I don't know which router to buy for my new HP TSV. I just got it and have been using a tower, so this is my first potential "be free from the wall" computer.

Also, can I hook up the netbook using my current cable hook up and then change to a router? Or switch back and forth if I needed to for some reason?

This is all new to me and I am trying to update myself and my skills. THANKS!
