Waaayyy under electronics talk, but have a question

when I reply to a post, it takes 3, 4, 5, sometimes 6 clicks to get me back to where I was. just wondering if this is normal,,,it drives me nuts, and is there anything I could be doing to make it "less clicks"? I'm impatient and very computer "dumb".....thank you if you EVER answer.
