Re: WINDOWS DEFENDER

[ Edited ]

@heart of savino   I had Windows Defender on my desk top for 9 years until it died.  I had no problem with any type of virus or malware using Defender.  I know that Trend Micro is one of the best, after that McAfee.  I would not use Norton....

We use Widows Defender, Malwarebytes & CCleaner. It takes care of the problems we have run across. DH seems to be able to fix a problem when one comes up. He gets on Team Viewer all the time to help my dad & sister fix their computers when they have a problem since they live in other states.

We have the paid version of malwarebytes that we bought when it was a $25 lifetime charge. Now it's $25 per year unless that has changed. It's worth the money & don't know how DH would have fixed the computers more then once without it.

I have gotten by with tis program just fine for a number of years. I am careful what sites I go to, and the others that are loaded are selling you a service, thats what lowers the cost of the PC, they agree with software companies to let hem put their programs on the PC. Many of them are useless and considered spyware themselves, I forget the name of one we literally couldnt get rid of for the longest time.
