Why Does the Q load a lot of junk on their tsv laptops? It would be so nice if you could. They build them for the Q anyhow-( you don't get them right away) --- why can't they build them with the specs I want? Yeah, people say to go direct to HP- but I have and no way can I get what I want for these prices- I want an intel processor as well- I don't like McAfee- I do want lifetime support-
I wonder- can all that software junk be removed if I do order from the Q? AND SINCE IT WAS A TSV ALREADY- WHERE ARE THE REVIEWS??????

You most certainly can get what you want for QVC's prices. You can also uninstall programs you don't want. With huge hard drives in computers today, there really is no reason to worry about programs factory installed with the exception of the antivirus. If you don't like McAfee, don't activate and uninstall it.

The previous TSV was under a different item # since it had different software and different colors.
None of the programs come pre-installed. They come separately. Install what you want, don't install what you don't want.

Yes it can be removed. Most Windows Operating Systems will not let you completely remove Internet Explorer, at least the ones I've had.

I think it's so that they can justify the inflated prices they charge for computers. They taut this as being hundreds of dollars worth of software (while a lot of it is actually either trial version or stuff that you can get for free anyway).
But, in all fairness, the last several laptops I've purchased (none of which I purchased at QVC) were loaded with a bunch of qrap. Best Buy, and other retailers, load up a bunch of their junk on there. The manufacturers load a bunch of junk on there. When I get a new computer I spend a good amount of time uninstalling said junk because sometimes it's intrusive and resource-hogging.
I wouldn't take McAfee either, even if it were free.

Even if you buy from HP or Dell, you are going to get a computer with bloatware installed. That's pretty standard and not something that only happens on QVC. If you don't want anything on your computer except the operating system, look for a small mom & pop type computer repair place to build you a computer to your specs. It won't be a brand name computer, but it will cost you less and definitely not come with all those things. See what the company will charge for regular support and use the money you save on the computer itself to cover the support costs.
I built my own computer and then only thing on it when I booted it up the first time was Windows. I built a desktop, though, not a laptop.

If you want a custom machine, go to the manufacturer and order directly. If you want a subpar, cookie cutter machine on easy pay, buy from QVC. If you want a decent cookie cutter machine, go to Costco.
