Here's a head scratcher ...
My phone is the Samsung Galaxy A15.
I have a few notifications for texts, Ebay, etc, etc. Different sounds chosen for different apps.
Suddenly my texts no longer sound the chosen alert when I receive one. I just discovered I have received 23 unread texts in the past five days! ![]()
Nothing else is affected. I changed the chosen alert sound, and it doesn't matter.
Texts are sneaking in ... silently.
What could be causing this to happen?

This is happening on my iPhone as well @Tinkrbl44 , I just mentioned this to a friend and she is having the same issue. I've tried resetting it, turnining it off and back on and it seems like 50 other things but nothing makes a difference. Then yesterday it all started working . . . today nada.

@Tinkrbl44Have you googed the issue? There is a lot of information out on google, like clearing the cache etc.

My iPhone does this. There is a notification sound in settings. But it doesn't always work. However, I have found that after you have done what you need to do if you shut phone down, then start up it works. For how long I can't say....nothing works right after last update.on my phone. Somewhere on your phone certain people can be silenced too, don't ask me. I wait til the grand kids come. They fix it faster than the Apple Store.

@We rescue cats Did you do last update. . Cause that started everything on my phone. I need to take mine into shop. If I look at my texts certain people are silenced. I didn't do it. Can't undo it Too old for this doo doo

Could you have set it on Do Not Disturb accidentally?

@Tinkrbl44 Or inadvertently changed the volume setting for text alerts? I know I did that once. It's easy to do without even knowing. Not all alerts are controlled by the same setting.

My Goggle Pixiel 7 has also has gone rogue. Don't know if the powers that be are doing something invasive.
