Trouble With My IPad After Update

I'm hoping someone can help me, I'm desperate. I just recently updated my IPad with the newest software available. Now all my many bookmarks are gone, my email is gone, and I can't even access Goggle! WTH! Can someone please advise me what to do? I'm not tech savvy so please explain plainly. I'm sorry now I did the update. TIA

Call or go to the Apple Store or call apple care. They usually solve things in a flash.

Did you reboot the iPad? I am not very tec savvy, but this works for me when I have a problem.

On my iPad I press the sleep/wake button & the power button at the same time to re-boot. I have iPad 3rd generation. What model do you have it may be different?

When I reboot, I completely shut down the iPad, wait 5 minutes or so, then turn back on. As I said I am not tec savvy, so, I am just trying to help with what has worked for me! Good luck!

Don't feel like an idiot, your words, I also felt stupid the first time this happened to me. At least we were able to fix it? Lol! My next step would have been to the Apple Store!

@greamy, unfortunately I don't have an Apple Store near me, so it's a good thing this worked.

FWIW....

Apple Stores are not the only places that repair Mac products.  Any Apple Premium Service Provider will provide help and/or repairs if needed.

 

If your iPad is still under warranty and/or you have AppleCare, CALL them.  It's what you paid them for. Smiley Wink

 

Apple Community message boards are also a great resource for help - iPad ForumThe volunteer helpers there are more than willing to supply help to those who are not knowledgeable.  You will need to register or sign in to post.
