Assuming you have home internet and a router with a decent signal, it should work fine. I'd take your phone to where you want to install the Ring Spotlight and check the signal strength from your router there. If your phone's getting a decent WiFi signal there, you should be okay. WiFi comes in largely two variants as 2.4 GHz, 5.0 GHz, or in some newer cases 6 GHz. Most routers are multiband and will emit signals in both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. (Newest ones add 6 GHz). When you go to choose the network to connect the device to in setup you just want to make sure you connect to the 2.4 GHz output instead of the 5 GHz one. It's all pretty easy and if you have an issue, Ring has pretty good tech support. (Relatively speaking. A lot of tech support is useless these days.) You can look up YouTube videos of "How to install a RIng spotlight" and watch several of those to get comfortable with things.
