I cannot click on my homescreen icons.  They are STUCK.  I have tried turning phone on /off, restart, checked settings.... time for a new phone?  I have a Samsung 14 5G

In general, anything software-related will get fixed with a power cycle. Rebooting it another time or two won't hurt anything, but if that doesn't fix it, then yeah, it might be time for a new phone. Cleaning the screen and being absolutely sure nothing is touching the screen (phones often ignore what they think is a second touch) won't hurt anything. Be sure your fingers/hands are clear of the touchscreen when you're trying to launch an app. Any inadvertent contact can cancel out what you're deliberately trying to do. If your thumb is slightly on the screen as you're tapping away at an app, the phone may ignore your taps and assume your thumb is in charge.

@bargainsgirl   **Homescreen** icons can be locked.  Go to your settings to unlock.
