@chickenbutt    My Skip mode hasn't been working on my Tivo Bolt for the past couple of days.  These are abc, cbs or nbc programs that I've recorded.  Do all shows on these channels not have the Skip mode, or is something wrong with my Bolt?  Since you've had yours for a while, I thought you would know.  Does anyone else have the Bolt that has had this problem?

Nick - While I know that some channels have that feature, it doesn't seem to mean that all shows on those channels have the feature.

That's what I noticed, anyway.

When I know a given show has 'skip', I will see the little green box that says 'skip', when I am cruising through 'My Shows'.  If there is not that green box, then the show doesn't have skip.

It's kind of weird but I notice that, for example, I have two shows I watch on the same channel - one airs right after the other.   I will record both of them and one doesn't have skip, yet the other one always does.

That's as close as I can get to an explanation.  

Hope you are enjoying your Bolt, though.  I really love it.  I'm also finding that I can use MVR again.  I had that for years and then I think a change I made to my internet precluded it.  I just changed ISPs and now I can view from the Premium in my bedroom.   I think it was just a combination of getting the faster Bolt and getting the more stable internet.  I missed that during the previous 9 months!

Thanks CB!  I was getting worried.  I'll look for that box in My Shows.  Yes, I'm loving my Bolt!  It's especially going to be nice in the fall when I want to record more than two shows at the same time.

Well, I hope it's all ok.

Yeah, the extra tuners will be nice!  I already have a crazy time for Sundays and Tuesdays (right now anyway) at 9pm.

Fortunately, the majority of my shows are on cable or Premium cable channels so they have multiple airings.

One thing I figured out very early on was to put all the Season Passes for network channels at the very top, since they only air once.

Thanks for the tip about the network season passes.  I wouldn't have thought to put them at the top.  I just looked in My Shows and see the Skip mode for some of the shows.

Glad to help!      Just keep in mind that the higher up, the higher the priority for recording when there are more than one shows at the same time.

As I said in another of your post, I no zip about TiVo, any model. I can however tell you this.

We have Dish Network and the Hopper is our TiVo. Here how this unit works on SOME major network shows. When recorded they put the icon of a RED Kangaroo on those programs that will automatically skip the commercials, but. When I press "view/watch" a box pops up asking you if you want to use this feature, yes or no.

Don't know that will help you with your TiVo, but that is how the Dish Hopper works, and maybe some that read this have the Dish Hopper and are not aware of this feature.

Thanks @hckynut.  Chickenbutt helped me with this, too.  It ended up being very similar to what you said.  There's an icon on the shows that have skip mode available to them.  Now I know what to look for.
