I've tried to use this symbol (@+nickname) to notify someone that I've responded to a post and it doesn't work.  What am I doing wrong?  TIA!

@fortune Choose the nickname from the drop-down menu that opens when you make the "at" sign.

@fortune

Works for me!

Which device are you using?

Which OS?

Which browser?  Tried another browser?

I've tried typing in the @fortune but when I continue typing, the @fortune is nullified.

Mine drop down box hasn't been showing up either - I have to type the name in after the @.

@Yes, it does that and it's annoying. To prevent that, Type the @ symbol and then wait until the box pops up. It only lists relevant names from the thread, so try to pick one without typing anything else. If it doesn't bring up the person you want, then enter just the first letter of the person's name and see if that works. If not, you may need to enter the entire name.

@fortune

Are you trying to bring up your own nic?  From your above post, that is why I ask. If so, try the (at) using a posters nic. What are you using: tablet(iPad/Android)/cell phone/computer/smart TV or DVD player?

Our old Android tablet did not bring them up, and I think it was because it was and older version of the Android operating system, think it was Ice Cream version. Our new tablet has Lollipop 5.0  and they do now pop up(actually it shows a drop down box much like a computer)?

Without answers, that's about all I can tell you.
