OP,

If you're a Costco member, they have a Samsung tablet now on sale for $179.99.  I don't know when sale is over.

@Tyak  Thanks for the heads up.  We never joined Costco because our closest store is over an hour away and we wouldn't frequent it much.

Bought mine for 100 at Target. RCA 10 in screen.

We have an iPad, Amazon Fire, Samsung tablet and Microsoft Surface in our household.  The Surface is by far my favorite.  I like its ease of being used as a laptop or an actual tablet.  It has performed much better than the iPad.  After that I would choose the Samsung for its overall performance.
