Synching iTunes from Computer to IPAD Mini

I opened up an iTunes account on my computer and have a couple of CDs in the iTunes account in my computer. How do I get the CDs filed on my computer iTunes account onto my IPAD mini? Do I need to synch it like I would with my MP3 player? Newbie here to IPAD mini. New to iTunes too.
