Does anyone have the Samsung A23 Tracfone?   Several good reviews on HSN and 2 Negative on Q.  I checked some other sites and basically it gets pretty good reviews for a "mid range" Samsung.

@bargainsgirl I wouldn't worry about the negative reviews.  I've bought Tracfones for years, and trust me...most of the negative reviews are from people who haven't learned how to use the phone.  For almost any phone a person buys, there are YouTube videos about it, how to use it, etc.  It's frustrating that many Tracfones get bad reviews because of user error.

My concern is that the Samsung only has 64GB of memory.  A much better buy with similar or better specs is the Motorola Stylus 5G for the same price.  It has 128GB of memory.  This is my opinion only.  Many of us on the board have the Motorola Stylus and can testify to its quality and help you if you need help with it.

You need a phone with more memory. Look at the other Tracfone offers at HSN and QVC. 64GB is not enough.

@bargainsgirl  I've relied on Tracfone and other 'pay as you go models' for many years, with everything from the old Nokia to the flip phones and finally my last two android Smart phones from Samsung. Tracfone isn't what it used to be. You can still get by without spending much and their phones run the gamut, so there are choices.

The last Samsung I purchased has simply never worked as it should, which can happen with any phone. It was a QVC phone and unfortunately it was too late to return it by the time I realized it wasn't going to be reliable, so I reverted to the model I had just prior. It works reasonably well, but there are problems that have led me to the choice to move to an iPhone and to a service provider that isn't reliant exclusively on remote service.

Tracfone customer service lately has been very uneven and often not helpful. Just recently, I had occasion to contact Tracfone and once you eventually navigate their system and land a live body, either on the phone of by chat, you might or might not get someone understandable that actually resolves your issue. I ended up speaking with three agents. The first was pleasant and tried to solve my issue. She indicated I would get a call back in 15 minutes to verify the problem had been solved. It wasn't. I did get a call back but by a second agent, hence requiring me to go through the entire saga again. The second agent was rude, snide and largely unintelligible. I asked to speak to another agent and she very abruptly told me I didn't need to speak to another agent. Not only did she not resolve my problem but the call seemed to get 'dropped' and my phone ceased to work at all for about ten or so minutes. I called again and got a very nice third agent. By this time my phone had started working, so I oped to just let sleeping dogs lie. Meanwhile, the issue about which I called remains.

Others might well regale you with their wonderful experiences and for many years I'd have been in that camp. No more! Tracfone, android and I are parting ways.

I've had a Galaxy A23 5G since this Spring, having changed from a Motorola (also Tracfone).  It's fine - some things I like, other things were better on the Motorola.  As someone pointed out, for its price, I can't complain.

I have a Samsung Galaxy A12.  I have no issues with it.  Had a Samsung previously that I really liked.  Mine will be 2 years old, will probably get a new one when my year is up in December.  I looked at the TSV, but would like a higher model.  Plus, would like more memory.

Actually 64 GB is enough for me.  I only use my phone for texting, a few calls and limited web surfing and I few photos.  I mainly use my laptop for online activities.  And we still use a landline!!

I agree with you. The 64GB is storage. RAM memory usually is 8GB on the latest Samsung S23 series phones.
