Samsung Galaxy TracFone TVS Coming Up

on HSN today. Anyone buying? I don't really need a new phone but thought about buying this one. All the other Tracfone's I have used you have to swipe which is a pain in the rear. By the time I get it swiped the caller has hung up. LOL!!!  The manual that comes with this phone shows it also uses swipe to answer a call but if you use an app you can press answer call. I wish my phone had an app that would work to answer the call without swiping.

Re: Samsung Galaxy TracFone TVS Coming Up

i am considering ordering but i looked at a few You Tube reviewer videos (there are bunch of em, search Samsung Galaxy On5)

it does not have "any key answer" or "home button answer" .  to answer a call you must swipe   the only time you can hit the answer button i.e "green phone icon"  is while you are using an app  or on another screen, like a website.

NO Notification Light for missed call/text

user manual : (MetroPCS offers this model)

@CatsyCline It says in the manual if using an app a pop up screen will open where you can tap answer to answer the call.

The only way this happens with the phone I have now is if I leave the sceen open to the contacts page. If I do that when a call comes in a pop up window opens where I can tap answer. Can't leave the phone on my contacts page while in my handbag or it would probably end up making a call.

My problem is when I swipe I lift my finger. I never can remember to leave my finger on the screen when I swipe. I also never know to swipe up or across. LOL!!!

@Nightowlz  i have the Ultimate II and there is a green phone handset button that pops up if i'm in an app or the browser or another screen.  i can use the home button to answer

i havent decided yet. it's in my cart. i hate swiping to answer calls and i like my notification light.

It looks like a nice phone and I like that it has a more up to date operating system, but I'm still not ready to give up my Ultimate 2 with notification button that lights up.

I decided not to buy the Samsung. My service date ends this time next year so I'm sure I will find another one before that. LOL!!!

@Nightowlz

My wife ordered one to replace my phone. It was eaten by one of the dogs during her Pet Sitting stint.

Will let you know how I like it. Even though I can't remember the last time I used my destroyed one. I will run this new one through it's features just for fun.

My wife had my phone because her Sprint S5 kept dropping our calls when she called me. My Tracfone came in as clear as our land line. Never dropped a call with any of my many years with Tracfone.

Re: Samsung Galaxy TracFone TVS Coming Up

I wish I had waited; I got an LG TracFone when it was the TS on HSN but think I would prefer Samsung since that's the only kind of smartphone I've used. The good thing about the LG phone is that it runs on the Verizon network and has FAR better internet reception than my TMobile phone.

Since we've canceled our home internet service I'm thinking about keeping the LG TracFone just for the internet service.  Hopefully internet only cards with triple like the phone/text/data cards are supposed to.
