@joco728, @jackthebear, unfortunately, Clickfree has gone out of business. I found this out when I tried to buy a Clickfree device to back up my Windows 10. If you go to clickfree.com, you'll get redirected to its old forum entries. I had tried to find a customer service or tech support number a long time ago, but there were no numbers to be found.

Wow...that sucks. I keep getting these messages when I do a scan on my computer and when I googled it this morning it referred to the Click-Free device. It says "its not a virus...its a risk tool. I wonder if I should remove it from my laptop. Its also strange that all of a sudden my "reminders" to back up never pop up anymore. I guess I should go back to the old fashion way of backing up to a large external device.

@jackthebear@joco728, I agree with you. It couldn't have been easier to use. I've been shopping around online to find the easiest device, but not being a technophile, it's a challenge to determine which one is the best for me. I also think it's a bit odd that if you to search for what happened to clickfree, you don't get anything. It's just disappeared. Its parent company is Canadian, if I'm not mistaken, so I'm puzzled as to why there's no further information.

sometimes companies just get swallowed by other companies,
I use an external now, and the SW that came with it, but the CF interface was very user friendly.
Oh well

I use Carbonite, a cloud based backup service. This is a link to a review for 25 services. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/maintenance/tp/online_backup_services.02.htm
If you need a small amount of storage for files, there is a Google Drive, and it can be free. https://support.google.com/drive/?hl=en#topic=14940
You get unlimited storage for photos.
You can use a portable HD(hard drive) from Western Digital or Toshiba. You can find the drives on Amazon with a three year limited warranty. You will not miss these items with thousands of review. I usually buy a simple Amazon Basics case to protect the drive.
