Why when I post pictures of an item on this forum; for example a picture of a corningware casserole or a kitchen gadget, etc., when I review my post a few days later I see a message like the below.

What am I doing wrong that the picture no longer shows on my post? Thank you!

@BunSnoop I see that sometimes. I did notice that 100% of those pics are from Facebook. Are your pics from FB?
On a Mac if you right click & click on "open image in a new tab" you will be able to see the image in the new tab.
Sometimes not always, if I switch browsers, I am able to see the pic. My default browser is Waterfox (current). Backup browsers FireFox, Chrome & Safari which I've never/rarely use. I just keep it updated just in case. ![]()

@BunSnoop. You're probably using copy and paste, which is not the correct procedure for posting pictures here.
You need to have the picture in a file or gallery on your device. Go to the line where you want it to appear and click in that space. Go to the landscape icon in the menu and click. Choose the photo from file that appears, click on it. Insert photo, post photo.

Thank you @Mz iMac , yes - you're correct - the pictures are from Facebook.
Thank you @Kachina624 , yes - you're also correct - I did do "copy and paste".
Thank you both of you for your help - much appreciated!!!!

@BunSnoop. I use Facebook pictures all the time. Never had a problem with a single one. I don't think that has anything to do with your problem.

I was curious too, because I have seen this problem happen before also. Here are the screen shots I got which led to the explanation.
Simply do a series of clicks
!) click on the blue square
2) click on the option circled
3) see this message:
what this message means is that the image you "grabbed" from Facebook is not in the correct format meaning the file extension is wrong for this forum.
The most common file extension is .jpg
Do you know how to change it? I use an app called photo resize or some such thing.
Please ask if you want more info about this.

I use copy and paste all the time. I don't do Facebook so I don't know how that works

When the picture I want doesn't work with c/p, I have to take a screen shot and use a photo editor (Irfanview is small but mighty) to crop the part of the screen I want. Save and use the insert/edit image icon at the top of the text box.
