I know someone that has horrible credit but she bought a computer here on 6 easy pays and heard the other day she bought an expensive coffee maker last summer on easy pay. I was shocked that she was able to do this.

I did find out she missed some of the monthly easy pays (she's terrible with money) and the bank kept charging her fees for not having the money in there at the time. I think her bank paid the easy pays but charged her every month for having her money in there late. There's no way she would have had the whole amount of the purchase in her checking acct. when she got the easy pays. If she has money she spends it. Now she has lost her job but the easy pays are already paid off now and she has never used the computer nor knows how to.

How can a person miss an easy pay, payment...

when the card is approved for the whole amount....?

Since you're willing to overpay for a product just to get the "easy pay", why not check out some place like Aaron's, or Rent-a-Center, or even some K-marts now have rent to own on tvs and appliances.

i put over 1000 a month into that account.. i believe i can cover 200 a month..

If it's a prepay card, that's the problem with the large purchase.

Is it strictly debit or debit/credit? No judgement, just trying to help.

If the money is not in there, or the card is denied by bank, they notify QVC. Of course depending on your banking status, sometimes the bank pays it, and fines the customer. A few years ago I had changed bank cards and forgot all about easy pay, and to notify QVC of the changes. I received a letter from QVC. Yikes!

Can't believe some of you.

I have been shopping with this company for 24 years, maybe longer.

From day one, they never told me I could only buy up to a certain money amount.

They never questioned any of my credit cards.

Some of you are sounding so harsh "if you can't afford it, don't buy it"

If its a Q-Card, then I guess they can do what they want, but thats no reason for some of you to act like such snobs.....

I still stand by my earlier response, and I think you should save the $200+ per month, and in a few months you could buy a nice TV. You could even buy a great TV, maybe a 42 inch, for a very reasonable price in less than 3 months. We have family members that do not have cable, trying to save money. They are able to watch on-line, there are different methods.

But I would definitely shop around when you want to buy a TV. There is a 42 inch Vizio at Costco on-line for only $439.99. Free shipping, and it has a few 5-star reviews. Item #730440.

Another idea.... do you have a desk top computer? Do you need a new monitor? We have a samsung for our computer, nice size, and it can be also used as a TV. Very handy.
