Purchasing an older Mac

I would like to purchase an older computer similar to the one I work on at the office. Adobe is changing the way they are 'selling' their software and I would like to have a back up to my current system as it will be to expensive for our business if I would have to buy a new computer and software. Is ebay a good place to make the purchase.......? Thanks!
