Re: Problems With My Tracfone

@Ainhisg I tried to download the app to my old phone but since I already deactivated it I'm not getting access to the Goggle Play Store. I guess I'll have to find another solution.

Even if the phone is deactivated, you should have Wi-Fi and be able to download the app. I did.

I would think you'd have Bluetooth on both phones, even if one is deactivated.  Once you've paired the phones, it's easy to do the transfer.  I always use that to transfer contacts.

I got a new Tracfone in January  - my 3rd one -and on this one the my account widget will not work so I have to go to the tracfone website to check my balances.

I agree with the poster who said your old phone should no longer be active once you switch the number over to your new phone. If you bought your phone from HSN they have a fabulous customer service # that will figure it all out for you.

@151949 Not sure which model you have. 1 LG phone we had the app to check mins would not work on it. I found this alternative that worked on that phone. I don't have a problem with it working on the phone I have now. You might try this to see if it will work for you. You have to enter this number in your contacts & make the call to find out the mins etc.

*777*1# when you call a box pops open that shows how many mins, text, & data you have. It does not use your mins. to make the call. Hope it will work for you.

Re: Problems With My Tracfone

If you cannot get the Tracfone My Account App to work enter *777*1# in your contacts to call to check your mins, text & data. It does not use any mins to use this feature. A little box opens with the info listed. It also lists service end date.

I asked this on another thread but didn't get a reply, maybe someone can help me. I would like to export all my contacts (phone numbers) from my old phone to my new one. I remember I did it once before but can't remember how I did it. I really don't want to have to put each number in one by one.

Download an app called the Mobile Content Transfer Wizard to both phones. After they're installed, open them, and follow the easy instructions on your screens. You can transfer contacts, photos, music, texts, and so forth. It took 20 seconds for my things to transfer.

@Ainhisg I tried this again with success! I am so not tech savvy, this is a big deal for me, I'm proud of myself! Thank you for telling me about the app. Now I just have to read up on the phone so I can use all the features!

You are welcome!  Isn't it the easiest way ever to transfer contacts from one TF to another?  Enjoy!
