Nook App and sd card ?

I just downloaded the Nook app onto my Nextbook 3 ( successfully I might add!)using an sd card...I'm not all that tec savvy but I'm learning it on my own...so this might sound like a dumb question... Do I have to keep the sd card in the nextbook in order to have the nook program show up after I'm done using it ?

Its working and I have bought and downloaded a book but I havent taken the sd card out so I am wondering?...thanks !
