Suddenly my WI will not connect on my new tablet. Was working perfectly then just stopped. ALL other devices including an AMAZON 8 tablet are online. I checked settings and stopped and restarted but still no luck. Any suggestions? Guess I will try to contact Amazon...

Assuming it was working. Did you add anything to it or change anything? Did you shut it completely off, and then restart it?

maybe try deleting wifi you have put in and start over. we were having problems and it was a router, we use to boost signal, for other side of house.
good luck.

What does it show under WiFi under "Settings"?

Try moving it real close to the Wi-Fi router , then push the reset button on the router , might help them connect again . I have to do this with my printer occasionally , when my IPad can't "find "the printer .

@bargainsgirl When you checked your Wi-Fi settings did you check "Wi-Fi preferences" to make sure it says CONNECTED? If you did, did it say UNCONNECTED?
If so, before you call Amazon, go back to Settings >Help. Click on "Connect Your Fire Tablet to Wi-Fi" & follow the step by step instructions.

Contacted AMAZON and they walked me through a few things and ultimately I needed to turn off my router and modem for 30 seconds, restart and problem was solved. I won't even try to figure out why...haha. Btw their customer service is great.

Glad to hear this. With any electronics of this era, the main source is the 1st place to start. I assumed you had started with your modem(router) by restarting it, not resetting it.
Even the new fancy appliances work this way. Found this out with our new washer/dryers awhile back. Computerized, thus I unplugged the washer and even the 220 dryer when it acted up. Problems resolved.
Typed this came thing on this forum and others many times so others might see it and use that as a starting point, especially when wireless is involved.
When I raced cars and parts broke? There was no "just fix it and go". It was first "figure out the source of the cause", fix it, which too many times meant replacing high $$$$ parts.
With computers, I had to do the opposite many times. Be less concerned about the cause, and concentrate on how to fix it, not the cause because electronics are much different than mechanical part functions.
Took me awhile, but now I concentrate on how I solved the issue, and the he!! with what might have caused it. I will leave that to that to the "Geek Squad".

My neighbor lost her internet connection lately and when I look at her 'settings' it was in Airplane Mode.
She didn't change it.
A couple of days later, mine lost the internet connection....same thing happened.
I believe something changed it when it updated. Neither of us had put it in Airplane Mode!

I assume you are talking about cell phones. Don't know much about them, but I know my computer nor tablet have an "airplane" mode.
My wife had a high $$$ Samsung Galaxy and when it updates, which she said there is no way to choose "manual update in lieu of automatic", this happens.
No sure it's the "airplane" deal happening to you, but she complains about these updates too frequently, to suit me.
My Tracfone has never switched on me, but then again I use it so infrequently, I probably wouldn't notice. As long as I can dial a call and it connects, all is well for me.
