New iPhone user question re: App Store

I love my new iPhone, but I'm having a problem accessing the App Store.......I press the icon and all it does is show me the gray screen that says "loading".......it won't load. I've tried re-booting my phone twice, and still get the same thing.....everything else is working fine.......anyone else ever had this happen? I can get into the apps I've already downloaded, but just can't seem to get App Store to connect to the network.
