I may be in the market for a new Tracfone.  I now have a Motorola.  Can anyone recommend a new favorite?  It seems like there are so many  more to choose from...

@bargainsgirl - It really depends on what features you want.

I didn't know until reading it on these forums that LG has now gotten out of the phone business, which is a shame because we've owned LGs for years and always been happy with them.

There's quite a long thread about the Moto phone that @gardenman just bought.  You could read through that to see if it's something you might like.

Some people like Samsungs, but I've only known family and friends who had them and always seemed to be plagued by glitches, so I avoid those.

The only advice I'd give is the more Gb of storage, the better.

I have 2 Motorola's and very pleased with them.

I buy for price, I honestly do not "live" by my phone, if it rings, great, leave a message, if I get a text, great I'll look at it within the day.

It never gets answered or looked at in the car while driving, to me, a phone is a phone and if I leave it at home, well I know where it is.

I believe my Motorola recently purchased from HSN for around $70.

I too have to renew my Tracfone account soon to keep galloping in that popular tracfone cycle..  Currently using the Moto G from HSN and it's a great phone for the $$.   Does anyone have any idea what tracfone deals are coming up?  I guess I could always get another Moto G if available.  I do not want that lg rebel. Or that Samsung which has very bad reviews.

@ritasNo1Fan - Unless you want to replace your current phone, you could just add another year of service for $49.99.  That's what I did with my and my husband's phones.  We've had our current phones for less than a year, but were going to have to add service in October, so I just went ahead and did it now.  I didn't want to switch phones so soon.

I don't know what's coming up. QVC just had the Moto G Stylus for $179.99 a week or so ago and I grabbed it then, but it's back to $202.60 now. It's pretty much always at $199.99 at HSN. I would expect that phone to go on sale again at some point, likely on HSN who have never changed its price. (At least that I 'm aware of.) It's a newer phone that was just released in January. I'm enjoying it. It's a bigger phone, but it has 128 GB of internal storage. The shopping channels rotate phones on sale on a regular basis, so figure out which phone suits your needs then stake out each channel until it gets marked down and grab it.

By the shopping channel standards a reduction from $200 to $180 wasn't huge, they'll often discount them 25-50% or more. But it was the phone I wanted at a price I could accept so I got it then.

I would avoid LG phones at this time as they will be completely out of the phone business in August according to published reports. They're just selling off their phones now. They've already closed their phone factories and converted them to other uses. Getting support and updates for LG phones going forward could be challenging because of that.

I had a Lg phone and I wanted a new one. But since they're out of the phone business.

I looked on the HSN,QVC and Tracfone websites. Didn't see anything that appealed to me.

So I went to Best Buy and bought a unlocked Samsung Galaxy A52 5G. I bought a sim card for $1.
I've had the phone about six weeks and I love it.

Tracfone c.s. was very helpful, and transferring my data to the new phone was quick.

@deeva if you want to move to a 5G network, you are all set.

Your phone should get monthy security updates and a certain number of system upgrades.you can find the update schedule by placing the phones model number in a Google search. Please look in the settings for this info.

Thanks!  I do like what I 've read about your new Moto Stylus!  I will keep my eyes open.  I have a couple of months to go.  Thanks again for responding.
