I'm a fan of Epson, which I think is part of Brother.  I recently updated mine, which was about 10 years old, as I wanted a better scanner.  Mine is a WF-4820 model, which I think is more than you are looking for.

I purchased it at Staples, which was actually cheaper than Amazon and came with inkWoman Surprised.

Good luck.

I shopped around and decided to buy the Epson Eco Tank #2850  from Amazon.

I had a grandson help me set it up to Wifi  and i'm very pleased with it   Smiley Happy

and

No more buying in #65 black ink every other month for old HP printer! Close to $20.00 each time🤐😣

@cowboy sam    think you made a good choice buying a mega tank printer as buying ink ends up costing more than most printers not using that system $$$$

@mrshckynut,

Sorry, I should have said I got rid of the old printer and purchased a new one.  I put it on Nextdoor.com website and someone nearby took it.  She wanted it mostly as a copier and that feature worked fine.  I wanted an updated scanner.

For the Epson model I wanted, Staples had better pricing than Amazon.

I would never buy another printer that doesn't give me free ink like the

HP printer that i now own.

I truly paid and wasted hundreds of dollars purchasing ink thru the years

for all the family photos that I would constantly print out. Then luckily after

my old printer died we bought an HP a few years back and I get free ink

and can print up to 15 pages or photos a month, and 10 more pages a

month will only cost a dollar. Get one and join in on the plan, I would

not pay any extra buying all that overpriced ink, way too expensive.

No doubt the best deal out there, ink is the bigger cost than worrying about

a low cost printer.

I finally bought a printer, part of the HP Envy 6100 series. I didn't want to spend a lot of money since I don't print often, it was $90 at Best Buy. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to set up the printer as I'm not tech savvy. Well I surprised myself, I did it, I'm proud of myself. Some may think oh big deal, but to me it was a big accomplishment. I can't speak to if it's good or not because I haven't printed anything yet.
