HP has a number of new printers with a touch screen display. The HP 7955e is a choice product on the smile site, and uses two ink cartridges.

You do not have to sign up for the ink program.

@Nuttmeg that printer on Amazon's website is $149 which is more than I want to spend. I'll checkout Hp's website to see if it's less money there.

Yes, I know, but the printer does come with a touch screen display and ink cartridges.

I buy larger ticket items on a zero interest plan.

@Nuttmeg  I bought an HP printer from HSN when it was a TS..It is an HP Envy Photo 7800. HSN recently had a HP printer for $49.00.

I signed up for instant ink program because it is only $5.02 per month. At the end of each year, I order ink cartridges that cost me nothing. So, I figure it all weighs out plus you can get free customer support if you need help.

Shop for INK first and then decide which printer to get. Ink is where your money goes.

@SilleeMee    that would require a BIG or MEGA tank printer the cheapest one i found was $149

I'm a fan of Epson, which I think is part of Brother.  I recently updated mine, which was about 10 years old, as I wanted a better scanner.  Mine is a WF-4820 model, which I think is more than you are looking for.

I purchased it at Staples, which was actually cheaper than Amazon and came with inkWoman Surprised.

Good luck.

@cowboy sam    think you made a good choice buying a mega tank printer as buying ink ends up costing more than most printers not using that system $$$$
