Sunday Feb 23 2014, QVC will be offering the newest Kindle Fire HDX as the TSV. I am a little disappointed as the previous generation was the TSV this past Dec 21st...just 2 months ago. I should have known they were going to to this. I just wanted to let the folks know about this in case you want to purchase one.

If it makes you feel any better, the HD was a really good deal. Since the HDX is the newest Kindle, it probably won't be a good deal. They will put a bunch of cheap junk with it and call it a TSV.

I'm guessing Amazon will still have the best deal on the HDX. The accessories can be bought cheaper elsewhere.

Try buying an iPad 3 and 6 months later Apple releases the iPad air. It's not just QVC.

You can get the 7" Fire HDX 16g online at Staples right now for $199 + through tomorrow you get a $25 Staples gift card.

I have been looking at tablets for about a month, trying to catch a deal. If Q can't beat that price they are SOL with me.

You should look this tablet over as to Pros and Cons on Amazon site.

I just read a review there talking about a blue haze around the edges of the display? I this what you are talking about?

Do you have any tablet recommendations? I'm not interested in Apple. TIA

Just a couple comments on electronics. Been into this field since the 1950's and one thing that has been a constant? There will always be an upgraded and better model on most components that hit it big in the field.

I had a friend that kept from buying an HDTV for years because he was afraid that as soon as he bought one a better model would become available. For myself I prefer enjoying whatever new model that becomes available at the time I decide I want to give it a try. As one that had bought hundreds, if not more electronic devices in my lifetime, there have been times when I bought them mail order that by the time I received them they were no longer the "latest and greatest model".

My suggestion to those interested in any electronic component(device)? If what you are considering purchasing had the features that are what you think you will use? Should you have the finances to purchase it, buy it. I have electronic components I bought back in the 1980's and some of them have features that not even the newer models have on them.

Sure the newer models may have things some consider to be "better or upgraded", but some also leave out features I have on my "oldies" that I use and would still use more often than some features I see as just something to play with and not something I will use on a regular basis.

If one wants to wait for the latest and greatest when it comes to electronics? There money will keep piling up while at the same time they will be missing out on the use of a device that more than likely will do 95+ percent of what they want from it, while waiting for something that might do more, but also at the same time do less of what they might use regularly with the device.

2 things are for sure when it comes to electronics. Features will change and prices or older versions will come down. If one prefers missing out on days/months or even years waiting for the perfect component for themselves? That is up to you, but that purchase just may never come to fruition.

Yes. These are the reviews. There are not any perfect products on the market. You have to decide if a item is right for you.

I have a Nexus 7 (2013) 32 GB tab. I like this 7" tab it runs fast, and has a great display. I use it to read Kindle books and watch TV shows from my cable company. I enjoy streaming my iTunes library from my computer. I use apps of course.

Samsung just introduced a new tablet to the market. The Pro series. This 8.4" tablet is putting pressure on the market. You are seeing sales on the Nexus 7, and Kindle HDX as a TSV.

You should look at these two products, and decide which one is best for you.
