dooBdoo ... all the video on my account is effected. The arrow that appears to start the video when clicked turns into the 3 spinning boxes.

Thanks.

What's making this really puzzling is the fact that another person's Facebook account works fine on your computer. And you tried your account on someone else's computer, and still your Facebook account videos wouldn't play.

When we try searches, we're going to keep seeing the usual suggestions to update Adobe Flash Player, or update other software on the computer. It's hard to explain that the problem "travels" with your account no matter which computer you use.

I think you have a unique situation which is hard to find in all the questions/answers on the internet.

Have you considered submitting a report of the problem to Facebook and then asking the question in the Facebook Help Community?

If you describe it with the details of the steps you've tried and if you'll add a screen shot of what you see when you try to play a video, you might get some good answers.

Perhaps someone here will have other ideas. I'm perplexed at the moment.

Yeah, this is a weird one.

Have you tried different browsers? Internet explorer or chrome? I've never seen three spinning blue boxes before, but I don't use Firefox and that may be a Firefox thing.

I sometimes get a thing where only MSNBC/NBC videos won't play in Chrome, but will play in Internet Explorer. It's always because of a Chrome extension add-on and not always the same one. If you have Firefox add-on extensions, they could be causing a problem, but we have no way of knowing what you have on your machine.

Thanks dooBdoo ... I just reported the facebook issue. My understanding is that it could take months for someone to get to me.

ChynnaBlue ... I am sure it is not my PC. Again tonight I had my daughter login to her facebook account on my PC and her videos play.

That's great, free-spirit! You'll be lucky if they respond at all, though. They have little or no direct customer support, so even though they'll likely read the report and keep track of it in their trouble-shooting they might not let you know anything.

That's why I suggested you also pose the question in the Facebook Help Community. You have a good chance of getting responses from other users and on rare occasion I've seen posts from Facebook techs.

Hope that's helpful, and perhaps there will be other suggestions from posters here.Smile

Try comparing your settings with your daughter's, or anyone else that can play videos.

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.
