I checked the label on my router and it only has a Serial #, MAC address # and another 8 digit # below that, but nothing that says WEP KEY.

I've tried each one without success. Thanks anyway, I appreciate your effort.

Don't know what "you tried" but if it still is not connecting and it is a router/modem from Verizon? Sounds like a simple solution to me as I am sure they know what needs to be done to connect your devices to wi-fi.

Give 'em a call if it important to you to be connected.

Mine is a LAN number on the bottom of the router.

I've owned several Linksys routers and none had a software program. One thing to do, go to the router's website and see what is advised to do.

I have a Netgear router and I have a program on my computer from Netgear that shows the status of the network, passwords, speed, etc. Gail

Good to know. How that can help the OP, I don't know. Perhaps you do.

Re: Need Help Connecting to WiFi

I had to do this with my iPad. ON your desktop, find the icon for the internet signal. Usually looks like a bar graph. Left click on the icon and it should show your wifi connection and possibly a few of your neighbors connection. Highlight your connection and then right click on it. Select properties. Select the security tab. It will have your network security key. If it's a bunch if dots, click on th box next to show characters. This is the password you need. Right it down then unclick the show characters box and cancel out. This is the password you need to connect to wifi.
