My 365 day or 1200 minutes with tracfone will be ending in a couple weeks.
I know any minutes left from the 1200 do not carry-over. My question is do the new minutes I purchase start FROM THE DAY I ADD THE MINUTES or FROM THE DATE THE 365 DAYS ENDS?
This is the first time I have had to add minutes.
Thank you.

I would suggest that you add new minutes before the 365 days are over. Those new minutes will be added and whatever you still have unused from the first 1200 will continue and not be lost.
Please be aware that if you buy new minutes that will expire in one year.... All of the minutes will last that long. If you buy a 90 day card, all will expire in 90 days unless you add more minutes again.
Some people buy a new Tracfone and transfer any remaining minutes on their old phone to the new one. Doing this extends the end date too. You have to transfer the minutes before their expiration date.
These are a couple of ways to carry over unused minutes.

You get to rollover any minutes not used. It happens automatically. When you add new minutes, they go one year from the first time you added minutes. So you could have 412 days. There's no penalty for adding time early.

Shop, I have had a tracphone for years! Your remaining mins DO carry over. Same with the days. Is this the last one that the Q offered? It was triple mins. You can check your mins and time left. I still have over 1000 mins and like 600 texts.

I just added minutes to my phone and the new year of service starts on the day that the original 365 days ends. So your "anniversary day" stays the same.

Hi I need some help about tracfones. My dad is 90 and wants a cell phone only for light texting and sending/receiving occasional pictures. He does not have a computer or anything.
Do u think a tracfone can work for him? He will never make calls from it, as he has/will not give up his landline which is totally fine.
He wants a full keyboard so can he buy a smart phone tracfone for texting (since he doesn't have a computer/wifi etc.
Thank you anyone for your help!

I think it will be perfect. That's what we got for my Dad & he loves it. When he first got it we were so focused on teaching him to text that he called it his "texter." When we mentioned about having it for phone calls he said "you mean it's a phone too??" You might find your Dad will use it for calls as well, especially if away from home or maybe outdoors.

It doesn't matter where you purchase more minutes, they will always triple for the life of your Tracfone.
It's best to add more minutes before they run completely out and before your expiration date. That way any remaining minutes will carry over for another 365 days.
