Her problems will start when she gets a new computer. Her click free probably won't be compatible with Windows 10 and she may not be able to access her data. When you use a backup program, whether it's a built-in utility or a stand alone program, you need the program to open the backup file. If you use the manual drag and drop or copy and paste, no program is require to transfer the data from an external hard drive to the new computer.
For all of you who think it's a great idea to hang onto old technology and never upgrade, this is the main reason why you shouldn't. Eventually it becomes so incompatible you can't use it. This is what happened to my parents and their geneology research. Both used old DOS based programs and wouldn't change. Eventually there was no way to read the data. I was lucky to find the author of the program my Dad used, sent him the floppy disks and he was able to print out the information, scan it and send it to me. Had that not happened, all would have been lost.

I am not familiar with Click Free. What is its advantage over a simple usb portable hard drive, or a flash drive?
I have always used a portable hard drive, a 64gb flash drive, and even an sd card with card reader to back up my data (documents, photos, etc.). I can easily transfer all contents between my older and newer computers, tablet, etc.
