@gadgetgal613 @A scammer is spoofing you, using your own phone number. It's not an Apple issue. It's a known scammer tactic. Don't worry.

If you look in "Sent" or "Outbox" on the phone,

and also by going on the internet and signing into your mail that way, do you find any of the messages in the "Sent" or "Outbox" there?

Did I fnd out what caused my phone to call itself?  No, but it hasn't happened again.
