Looking To Purchase A New Tracfone

My current phone expires in 72 days so I'm thinking of getting a new one. I know the airtime card for 400 minutes (would triple to 1200) and 1 year service is about $100. I feel I might as well get a new phone for about the same money. I'm wondering which model to go with. Also, does anyone know if QVC or HSN will have a phone as a TTV or TSV soon?

I hope someone will answer this, do the Tracfones you buy from Amazon include an airtime card or is it a separate purchase?

Re: Looking To Purchase A New Tracfone

I just got a new LG Power tracfone from DH for my birthday last week. I love it. The setup and transfer of my existing min was very simple - though they said it may take up to 24 hours and mine did take 22 hours but it was very easy to do. It was on a sunday - could have something to do with it taking so long. I love the phone so far - and , since this is the forth LG tracfone I have bought from them, LG sent me a $100 gift card to walmart as a customer loyality gift. Anyway, he bought it from HSN to get the 1200 min deal. No problem at all. It was $107 in all. My poor old LG Olympus was just worn out after 3 years, and I could not clear anymore stuff out to make room for any pics, so I transferred all the pictures I wanted to keep to my computer when I got the new phone. All my contacts transferred easily via bluetooth, as did all my DH's - I should have turned off the bluetooth on the computer - duh to me, so i had to go thru and erase a bunch of his stuff. Like i really don't need Old farts golf carts number or Fishing freddie's bait store, or the Buick dealer or the beer store.

Re: Looking To Purchase A New Tracfone

I asked DH if he shopped at Amazon when he was looking for a phone and he said they were more expensive because you have to buy an aircard from tracfone - so he went with HSN.

Thank you. I guess my best bet is to shop QVC or HSN.

Might check hsn. Was watching a DVR'd program yesterday and they had a 5.5" Smart Phone for under 100 bucks. Think it had 1200 of each and a year expiration. It has the older Android, Jelly Bean 4.3 system, if that means anything to you.

E.T.A.  It looks like this phone went up 10 bucks

Sure can. The new version is Lollipop. Our tablet has the 5.0 version and I think there now might be a 5.1 version out.

I don't know if you are interested but HSN has a LG Sunset Android 5.0 for $110.46 with free shipping.

Re: Looking To Purchase A New Tracfone

The LG power has the lollipop OS and a little larger screen. However, it operates very much like the LG olympus if you are familiar with that. I am liking my new Power very much.
