This forum is more knowledgeable than the HSN forum.  They lost a lot of contributors years ago when they changed their format.  Anyway, I've activated the LG Treasure phone but not sure I like it better than my present Alcatel Android.  Tapping on/off is not always successful, especially don't like the missing mic from the keyboard.  I have to swipe, choose another keyboard to be able to talk text!  Just for this feature, I am thinking of returning. I would like the option to have an answer button over the swipe.  Can't find a battery for this phone; I like to carry an extra with me.  Checking here to see if anyone knows of "settings" I am not aware of that could change the things that bother me!

Hi @cddh I am so sorry you are having difficulty with your phone. You can contact the vendor for help with service or feature issues. The phone number is 1800-867-7183 or online at www.tracfone.com. Hope you can get your questions answered.

If it's an Android phone, does it have the Google Now app and technology? (I don't know anything about that phone, so I don't know which ones can use this and which cannot.)

If it has Google Now, you should be able to turn on voice activation and say "Okay Google, send a text to Joan" and the system should be able to send a text for you. I use voice commands with my iPhone to send texts, open apps, search the web, and more. It's hands-free, so I can do it while I drive and without looking at or touching my phone. Granted, if Siri mishears me, I may send a crazy text and she can't reliably look up the address of a Mexican restaurant because she doesn't handle foreign languages well, but does a large percentage of things for me and I never have to touch the phone.

Thank you Alice.  Yes, I have to call tracfone cs but that is 1/2 day gone!  HSN cs is of no use; they don't know the workings of the phone and refer you to the manufacturer.

Yes, ChynnaBlue, it is an Android and your reply was very  helpful.  I tried the OK Google to send a text and it worked fine!  I just may hold onto the phone awhile to learn more about the features.  I wish they went into more detail on the presentation than they do.  I'll check utube!

Glad it helped, @cddh. Here's some information on Google Now I think you might find helpful: http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/how-to-use-google-now/

I use it on my iPhone, but it's not integrated as well with iOS as it is with Android, its native platform.

OK, now you're losing me with the technical terms!  I'm pretty good on the surface but not too good when you go deep. Robot Frustrated
