Re: LG Fiesta Tracfone TSV on HSN

My daughter just got an iPhone and the cheapest plan and the phone was $400.00 plus her monthly bill. She loved my new LG Fiesta phone. Her iPhone was no bigger than my iPod touch 6th gen I bought last fall. I am going to sell the iPod Touch now as I bought it more for a camera than anything else. The new LG Fiesta has a 13mp camera that is very sharp and clear with a flash. It takes great photos. It has a selfie setting with flash also for those that take them-not me I see myself aging enough when I look in the mirror. Ha! It may be a few months before this phones price drops but HSN deal with the minutes is great. The TSV price only went up $10.00 and it usually goes up higher. Good luck and have a good day. Re: LG Fiesta Tracfone TSV on HSN

I just couldn't wait for the Q to get this phone - so I ordered it from Brand X and I've been able to play with it for a few days now.

This phone is an upgrade from the Premier for me - which I loved. But this one is definitely an upgrade and worth the price. The sound quality is so much better, the storage is great and the battery life lasts all day for me, even through my 20 or so Candy Crush games. (I used to have to charge my Premier at least twice a day with my normal use.) I also like the slightly bigger size because I use the phone to keep up with news throughout the day.

Transferring all my stuff gets easier all the time. Tracfone is really doing a good job in upgrading their transfer service.

Now I'm waiting for the Q to get this phone so I can order another one as a gift for a friend...

Re: LG Fiesta Tracfone TSV on HSN

Thanks to MKR NY, I just found and removed the plastic film from my camera lens and now I'm loving the camera too. I just did a test still-life on my Premier, compared to my Fiesta. And yes, the Fiesta wins hands down with better detail, color intensity and less flash wash-out.

Now I'm really a happy camper...

Re: LG Fiesta Tracfone TSV on HSN

WOW, still on the fence on whether to even open & keep the HSN Fiesta phone or wait & see what QVC is offering the end of June????    HMMMMM?  Since QVC hasn't given out any information can only assume that the HSN phone is a better pone & deal that they will offer in the future.  Otherwise, they would be honking their horn & giving out information about it.    BUT, in the past as soon as I order a high-ticket item the competition comes out with a better & bigger version of the same item.    I still have a couple weeks to debate whether to keep or not.   Any ideas or input would be appreciated.  Not exactly a tecki but have noticed my battery on my LG doesn't even last a day.     HMMMMM, what to do;;  what to do??

Re: LG Fiesta Tracfone TSV on HSN

QVC may have changed the date by a few days for their upcoming Tracfone TSV, but I doubt they'll be changing the offer--a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. I don't care about the 8 GB storage (plenty for me), but I know many here do. However, the 5" screen and the 5.0 OS both leave me underwhelmed.

I love the Premier, but would have gotten the Fiesta had I known about it. I like to get in on the first offer for fear of ending up with a "problem" phone, so I won't order it at this time.

Also, as others here have mentioned, the triple minutes really don't matter anymore--a good thing, since Tracfone is discontinuing that for all phones running 7.0 (and above). I'm assuming the HSN phone DID include one year of service, though; that's nice.

Re: LG Fiesta Tracfone TSV on HSN

So @losermal look at it this way; 1500 minutes from Tracfone costs $125. If you pay $140 for Tracfone's best phone with 1500 minutes, text and data included, you have effectively paid $15 for the phone. So even at the current price on HSN, it's a great deal.

This phone has been totally worth it for me, but of course I'll be looking to upgrade again in another nine months or so. Frankly, I would have paid $200 for this phone if I had to. But if it gives you peace of mind to wait and see, go ahead and do that. The Fiesta isn't going anywhere soon, I'm sure.

Meanwhile, she who dies with the most phones wins! WHOO WHOO!

Re: LG Fiesta Tracfone TSV on HSN

Thanks for the info.  Guess I was worried about the exra card, etc. & getting it to work.  BUT, as you say doubt that anybody will have a better phone for any price as a special in the near future.  I've always liked LG better than others & especially like the voice announcing who texts, etc.  SO, guess its a keeper.  :-)

@losermal That's a neat feature about the voice announcing texts.  How does that work?  I don't think I've ever noticed it before.  I've had a lot of LG phones and loved them.  It's only applicable to LG phones?

Re: LG Fiesta Tracfone TSV on HSN

@stargazer, that voice notification feature for textsvis available on the LG Premier, and was also available on the Ultimate 2. Go to Settings>Sound>Voice Notification. Simply turn it on. It will announce the texter and, if you choose it, read the text in its entirety. Personally, I didn't find it helpful. Also, it (I should say SHE lol) only "reads" the text once so, by the time you hear her yapping after the sound, it's half over. Same with the flashing LED camera light. It only flashes a few times, you have to be looking at it, and the flash can only be seen on the back of the phone. It's nice that people have these options, but IMO they're lame attempts to satisfy those of us who liked the colored, contact-identified LED notification button. That's gone for good because developers don't want to devote phone space to it--and app providers want us to buy their apps.

So I'm over it, too lol. No Led is cute, with my contact photos drifting across the screen--if I decide I want something.

Re: LG Fiesta Tracfone TSV on HSN

Thanks @Moonlady!  My last phone was the Ultimate 2 with the LED notification.  Everyone got a different color.  It was my favorite feature of the phone and why I held onto it for so long, despite wanting a more up to date phone.  My current phone is the Samsung Galaxy Sky and I like it a lot.  I also really like the NoLED app.  I'm so thankful to the posters on this board who talked about it.  Smiley Happy
