Hope it's going well, Nick!   I'm just loving my new Bolt.

One other thing that I cannot remember if I mentioned before is that the processor on this is MUCH faster than the Premiere was.

Before I only went to Netflix or Amazon, for streaming, on my Roku3 because the processor on the Premiere was kind of slow and wonky for this.  But the Bolt is exceedingly fast and efficient for streaming.

I also love some of the new things like 'skip' and 'Quick Mode'.  Smiley Happy  Magic!

Re: LED vs. Smart TV's

[ Edited ]

@chickenbutt  I really love my new Bolt.  I appreciate all your help yesterday.  The skip mode is amazing.  I had no idea you wouldn't even see the commercials going by like when you fast forward.

I'm having printer problems though.  I tried to print something after setting this up, and it won't print.  The wifi light is still on, so I don't think that's the problem.  It worked until I set up my Tivo.  I think I need to uninstall my printer and reinstall it.  I started a thread about this called "Printer Won't Print After Rebooting Modem and Router."  I've Googled and can't figure out how to uninstall the printer on my MacBook Air.  Do you have any idea?  I may need to go to the Apple forums for help.

I'm sorry, Nick, I don't have any Mac products so I don't know how different it is for such a thing.

Does it have something like the 'Control Panel' that we are used to with PC products?  Somewhere where you find everything that is installed?

But, yeah and not having anything to do with Tivos, I HAVE had to uninstall and re-install printers over the years.  One of my Canons is particularly weird in that any change, and sometimes not even a change, and it seems to fall off and need to be re-installed.

One of my Canons has a screen that actually has network settings right on the printer and I can re-pair it with the network, so I don't have to do all that re-install stuff.

I cannot even imagine what could have happened that would connect adding the new Tivo with making a printer go away, unless you can only have so many devices on your network and you exceeded that.  But the thing is, even with a bunch of devices, you probably don't have every device going at the same time so that doesn't seem likely either.

Sorry - lot of words and no help.  Smiley Sad

Oh and yeah - SKIP is the best thing ever.  It's not on every channel or every show but I find it's on the majority of my recordings and I feel like a queen when I can just hit the 'D' button and be right where I left off in a nano-second.

CB, my printer is a Canon with that set-up screen, too.  I was going to do that, and when I got to the part that you had to press the button on the Router I was afraid I might mess up the Tivo and/or computer again.  The wi-fi light is on on the printer, so I thought it was connected.  Do you think that's what I should do?

Yes, the Mac has something called System Preferences, which is what I think is like the Control Panel.  I couldn't figure out what to do when I got in there to uninstall the printer though.

Once the Tivo is on the network, anything you do between the printer and the router shouldn't affect it in any way.

Is it the thing where you push the button on the printer and then, within a minute, you push a button on the router to pair them?   That shouldn't affect anything else.

Hopefully, somebody experienced with Apple products will know the answer about uninstalling something.   Wherever it is that you can see things that are installed, there should be a way to uninstall something, maybe by right-clicking on the item and it offers you choices such as 'uninstall' (?).

But I'd try the thing pairing the printer up with the router first, probably.  After the weirdness, however, I can imagine your apprehension.

Yes, that's what it is.  I'll go try it.

CB, it worked!  I'm so glad you got me to reset the printer.

Yay!  I'm so glad.  Now all your stuff is working again.  Don't move!  hehe  Smiley Happy

CB, I really can't believe this.  I transferred a couple of things from my living room Tivo to the bedroom Tivo today.  Just now I was trying to look at the living room Tivo to transfer something else, and it said it can't show the living room shows due to a network problem.  This is so ridiculous.  Smiley Sad

I got the transfer thing fixed.  I unplugged the living room Tivo and plugged it back in.  Now my show is transferring.
