I charge my kindle and the next morning the battery is dead. I barely use it. Can anyone tell me if this is normal?

Is the wireless feature turned on? If so, disable it and that will save your battery.

Re: Kindle won't keep a charge

I had a problem with my email on Kindle, went to Amazon Kindle help page and called their toll free phone # and the person walked me step by step how to fix the problem. I also had a problem 2 days ago with viewing something on Kindle and went to their discussion board and posted my problem and someone responded in about 20 minutes and I was able to fix it myself.

I can't help you with the battery problem, but maybe you can get help with the 2 places I suggested. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Re: Kindle won't keep a charge

That's not normal. A charge on a conventional Kindle should last weeks. A charge on a Kindle Fire won't last as long since they use more power, but for a plain old Kindle the charge should last a long time.

Call Amazon. They have customer service second to none. They will help you. Also check your battery charger, perhaps something is wrong there.

Re: Kindle won't keep a charge

I'm not sure if a Kindle and an iPad operate under the same principle but with an iPad keeping apps running in the background drains the battery. If your Kindle uses apps make sure you close them down when you're done. I don't mean just stop using them, I mean close them out from running in the background. Hope that helps.

Thank you. Qvc said I could return it since it's under warranty. I've had it 2 months
