Kindle 7 vs Ring

I like my Kindle 7 and Ring. But, they forgot to tell us that you cannot download Ring to the smaller tablet. That is the main reason I purchased the Kindle 7 - easy to cary in my purse and still keep watch on the house. Any suggestions?
