Yes, the link to Apple.com is good information about their basic security. It's one of the many reasons I've used Apple products in my home office and in my IT business for years.

As previously stated, Macs don't need nearly the level of protection Windows computers require. However, they're simply not immune to malware. As mentioned before, malware sometimes can be downloaded and then passed on to a Windows user, and there have been attacks directed at Macs. And as Mac sales increase, security experts forecast the attacks will increase commensurately.

With all due respect, it's never a good idea for Mac users to be lulled into a false sense of security, thinking they don't need to be vigilant. This is the reason it's highly recommended that Mac users install a good program (along with safe computing practices) for added protection, and ClamXav is an excellent one.Smile
