Internet Explorer has closed this webpage

Any suggestions? I'm running Windows 7 with IE 11. Been getting this error message a lot on safe websites that I've visited before. Says "Debug" or "Close". Both choices give same result: "Internet Explorer has closed this webpage to help protect your computer." Keeps crashing the websites. I have McAfee Antivirus Plus..

Platform: Windows 7 SP1 (WinNT 6.00.3505)
MSIE: Internet Explorer v11.0 (11.00.9600.18057)

Re: Internet Explorer has closed this webpage

My best advice is stop using Internet Explorer. Even Microsoft is giving up on IE and has named their new Windows 10 browser Edge.

Download Chrome or Firefox and use one of those, instead. Make sure you download each from their respected sources (Google or Mozilla) , not from a random download page.

And then do a scan for viruses and malware on your system. If you don't have a separate malware program, check out Malwarebytes, which is free at Malwarebytes.org.

Totally agree with everything ChynnaBlue wrote!  For me, Firefox is the best!

Never any problems!

Good luck!

Is there a simple way to transfer IE bookmarks to Firefox?

I would also download Chrome. You can use more than one browser.
