I've "visited" it twice at the Apple store and am seriously thinking about buying it right after Christmas.  Just wondering if anyone has one.  I have an ipad Air that I use all the time and I like the larger screen on the Pro.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I've visited one in our local store too.

As it happens, it would work very well with some of my music activities. I'm not in a big hurry to buy, but I think one is probably in my future.

Re: Anyone have an iPad Pro?

I told my husband I wanted it for Christmas because I like the keyboard, at an extra cost, but it's too big for my lap.  If I were to use it on my desk, it would be perfect but I usually use my iPad on my lap.

Re: Anyone have an iPad Pro?

I bought my husband one for "Christmas" but he's been using it for over a month. He loves it and also uses it for work...I'm holding out for the iPad Air 3, which I'm hoping will come out in March. My iPad Air is starting to show its age...I'm running into a lot of websites having to reload, due to all the stuff they have running in the background. It's just not keeping up as well as it used to...

Why not do a reset?  Do a backup to your computer or iCloud, get into your settings, general, reset then reload all of your data.  I would try it before buying a new tablet you may not need.

That's what I'd suggest, too, @glb613.

@1MrsT, There are several things which can help an iPad or iPhone if it's become sluggish or is having problems accessing websites, etc., including closing apps running in background; clearing out all cookies and website data (including going into Settings, Safari, Advanced, Website Data, and removing everything there); a hard reset/reboot; doing regular syncs with iTunes (or whatever the preferred backup/sync method); and also as you suggested performing a full backup, erasing/resetting the device, and restoring all the data from the backup.

Re: Anyone have an iPad Pro?

@glb613 @dooBdoo Good morning! 😊

Trust me...I do a reboot about once a week, and I close my apps, as well as clear my history AND delete all the website data (advanced Safari settings) several times a day. This being my third iPad, I've gotten pretty proficient when it comes to trying to find work arounds when they become sluggish.

i do a LOT on my iPad...all of my online shopping, as well as online news and entertainment reading. Unfortunately, these sites are ad and gif intensive...and my iPad Air is over 2 years old and has started to reload the pages more often as time goes on. Certain sites are worse than others. For instance, Q and HSN aren't problems...while TMZ (yes, I guilty go there every day 😉), reloads a couple of times each visit. I hate their app, so I'm forced to deal with their website.

All of this reloading began about 4 months ago, but I wasn't too concerned, as ALL of my iPads start doing this as they approach two years old - at which point I upgrade to the newest iPad. Only this time there was no new iPad Air and the iPad Pro didn't appeal to me. I like the easy portability (size/weight) of the Air. So fingers crossed that March brings us a new one...

I was under the impression it was geared for a business person so I hadn't considered it.  I like how lightweight my iPad Air is but I've dropped it a few times and cracked it.  I might have to go "visit" one, too, after the holidays.

I think that's true, but besides business it IS  a great piece of equipment for fine arts, graphics and music.

For myself, when I'm composing I love to use something that I can SEE and HEAR. Previously this has meant piano, paper, and pencil.

Unfortunately for me, the learning curve for music software has proven insurmountable for me on computers, but software that I CAN use does exist as an app.

Using suitable apps on the iPad Pro I can write, rehear, edit, and even perform my. Work in one neat machine. As an added plus, the sound system is said to be vastly superior to the speakers on previos equipment.

I may be waiting until the next gen. Pro, but sooner or later.........

Re: Anyone have an iPad Pro?

My sister just bought the Pro, for personal use, and to replace her ailing laptop. She said it works on her lap just fine.
