@glb613, here is a link for Roam Mobility.

If this gets deleted, google them.  I use them for phone service when I travel to the US.  I bought a SIM card from them locally and paid online for the dates I wanted.  If you use the SIM card once a year, you don’t have to buy a new one.  You can just top up.

This service was cheaper than any other plan I could find at the time.  Our cell service in Canada is more expensive than yours so you may want to check other suppliers out.  I have used it without issue for several years.  Mostly for travel to Florida, South Carolina and all along the eastern USA.

The service I saw based in Vancouver, BC.  LM

I have no plans to go to Canada again so, I'll pass.  I just can't stress it enough to the OP, be sure to have a way to make phone calls other than using free Wifi when traveling outside of the USA.

we communicate for free with our family overseas using the whatsapp app, the telegram app, and the imo app......and others. look them up to see what is best for you.

just make sure you are connected fo free wifi.

when my daughter did her junior year abroad she purchased a disposable phone and a sim card for her phone that allowed her to make and receive long distance calls. see if that may be an option also.
