Your phone has a blocking function already built into it. Find the number you want to block, press on the menu icon, and choose block.

I've been using that but that's after the fact. I want something to prevent them in the first place.

Do you have an option to sent all unknowns/blocked to voicemail?  If your address book is up to date, it works fine.  Wouldn't be without it.  Can be turned off if need be.

What brand of phone do you have? This can be done through your settings depending on what brand of phone you have.

It's a Tracfone (Android).

What is the BRAND...Samsung, LG, Motorola, etc.? Once you know the brand, just google how to receive calls from only your contacts.

So, you never get phone calls from people not in your contact list?  I would miss important calls if I blocked every number outside my contact list.  I guess I don't understand why it's such a big deal to ignore a call.

@gadgetgal613 : Totally agree and understand. Yesterday had appointment with a new pest control service. He called to verify his arrival in a few minutes. Information on caller ID: wireless caller and looked like a previously blocked call. Nothing to indicate from the pest control company. I decided to answer.
